I have known these woven baskets since my childhood. In West Africa they have many functions: Keeping the dowry for the wedding, to store fruits, bread and other food and much more. Through these baskets, I bring a part of my country to Berlin and keep in touch with my family ands friends. in The Gambia.

Since generations they are used for the production of baskets.
Both regenerate quickly, so the production is not harming the nature.
The producers produce the baskets at home or in their village.
