These baskets are our own creation, inspired by the traditional Senegalese Seagrass baskets.
To weave these baskets, we use natural fibres from West African plants such as the baobab tree instead of the typical plastic fibres.
The fibres of the baobab tree are very strong and are often used to make ropes.

These baskets are our own creation, inspired by the traditional Senegalese Seagrass baskets.
To weave these baskets, we use natural fibres from West African plants such as the baobab tree instead of the typical plastic fibres. The fibres of the baobab tree are very strong and are traditionally used to make ropes.

The women's cooperative of the village of Nngaye has agreed to take on this 'special job' and weave the baskets for us. All baskets are handmade unique pieces.

The baskets can be bought as a set of 3 or individually. They are very suitable as decorative objects, but also for storing larger items, toys or blankets.

They are very decorative with or without a lid.
